Sorry for the mis-written sentence, what I meant was in order to become a home inspector you don't have to meet any requirements. I see a lot of guys that have never been involved in the construction industry "inspecting".

Hey John,
Show us where your from. Yea i called too. Thats how I found out. Did you notice Contractors Exam School web site says YOU WILL BE A CERTIFIED WIND MIT INSPECTOR. Real tricky, you will be certified because they are addressing this to GCs. who are already certified to do them!! And you got it right, for 400.00 they will teach you how to fill out the form! ed |

This was sent to me from Jose Uz, last week.
What this training provides is exact instructions on how to perform, what does the OIR really mean in the language provided in each of the 8 sections of the OIR-B1-1802 form, and how to answer the Code specific questions vs. the none code specific questions on the form. And believe me, I've train many-many Engineers, Architect, Contractors, NACHI & ASHI certified inspectors that were blown away because despite there inspection and construction knowledge they were not aware of the major differences of what is actually involved in this. Part of this is how to stay clear of problems and trouble as well. Now, you still need a qualifier. But I would be happy to qualify your inspections in a very simple and economical manner, turn around time is so fast for you it would make your head spin. I hope this will answer your question, remember the course provides State approved 7 hours of Cont. Ed including 1 core hour. Jose' Quote: Originally Posted by ktownsend Thanks for the info Jose. Ed, I live in Port St. Lucie. Can't make it show on my avatar.
I'm not sure if I am willing to have some one else "qualify" my inspections, the main reason I went back in business was to not have to rely on some one else. Referring to the instructor from Contractors Exam School's offer. Nothing personal,, just not my preferrance. I would rather be a stand alone entity. |
