The following Notice is from the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors Website and is being posted at the request of the Board.

KRS 198B.706 requires the Kentucky Board of Home Inspectors to enforce provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes and to establish requirements for licensing and certification as well as prescribing forms and applications.

No person can advertise or claim to be a licensed home inspector or perform a home inspection for compensation without a license from the board. A license is required by July 1, 2006.</SPAN>





Continued operation without the license may result in multiple Civil and Criminal Penalties.

DEADLINE: JULY 1, 2006
TO ALL KENTUCKY HOME INSPECTORS

THE KENTUCKY BOARD OF HOME INSPECTORS (KBHI) IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS TO BE LICENSED AS A KENTUCKY HOME INSPECTOR BY JULY 1, 2006.

It is essential that all candidates for licensure to submit the completed application (KBHI 1) as soon as possible in order to be in compliance with the law on July 1, 2006.

THERE IS NO EXTENSION OF TIME TO BECOME LICENSED.

This notice was approved by the KBHI on 5/23/06 for placement on main page of OHBC website and first page of home inspector pages.
