Default Kansas law

I am pretty sure this new law is going to put several of us out of business. I don't see how I can stay with all of this liability. I have had 2 clients in the past month with issues. The problems were caused by the homeowner as they moved out, but the clients still tried to get me to pay. I even had photos to prove myself right, but they just want someone to blame. When the new law goes into effect, I feel that I may be in court fighting, even though I was in the right. It just doesn't seem worth the risk anymore.

Any reasonable thoughts?

Default Re: Kansas law

Yep. Some will go out of business. The RE's and attorneys are coming up with all kinds of forms and verbage to get to the inspectors. As stated in other threads on this message board, someone, sometime, somewhere in the state will go to court to test the new law. Do you want to be the one? No matter what and how much insurance you have, and what wording is in your report, there will be a court case here in Kansas. It is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when.
