The entire list of Missouri Realtors was placed in a remedial English class. The professor asked the class, "Does anyone know what comes after a sentence?" All of the Realtors raised their hands. "The appeal," they shouted with pride.

Oh quit you guys. Our agents are no better OR worse than yours. Our home inspectors are no better OR worse than yours. NACHI, ASHI & NAHI have all got top quality inspectors AND all 3 have inspectors that we would not let inspect a dog house.

The agents keep pushing to CONTROL every aspect of a Transaction because groups like us let them. I love working with a professional Realtor or Builder, BUT my job is different than theirs. I don't tell them how to do their jobs OR change the laws or rules their group follows - I don't tolerate it from them. Its really that simple - yes we have dumb home inspectors, BUT they out number us by about 55 to 1, which means there is a lot more dumb ones on their side than there are of us.

Lewis - I don't know what Jim B. did or did not show you. Its really not relevant or important at all. Who cares why the Highway Patrol did the study - they did. I was on the state housing committee (made up of Realtors, Appraisers, Home Builders, The State Bar Association, the Mortgage Bankers, Title Companies, Home Inspectors, Termite Applicators, etc, etc) that first reviewed the results several years ago when it came out.

It shocked us all.

I do not know how it is in Missouri but in Florida the State Troopers do a lot more than just patrol highways. They are the State Police thereby they are engaged in all manner of law enforcement. Patroling the highways is only one of many functions, so it is conceivable they may be conducting investigations into nefarious activities.
