MAR using peer presssure tactics to collect PAC funds

I just left a general membership meeting of my local Board of Realtors. A woman from the Missouri Association of Realtors asked first, members to stand up that contributed monies this year to their Political Action Committee, than they was asked for the rest of the members to contribute and then to sign their names in front of all attendees of the meeting.
MAR claims that they have had record contributions this year, is this how they are doing it, strong arming their members. Amazing, simply amazing.
