I think it is going to be very interesting to see which of these two things happen first.

Will Mallory name names of the "leaders from other associations" to keep from taking the brunt or...before she has the opportunity....with the "leaders from other associations" distance themselves from her, NAHI and the sworn statement as to its agenda?

You gotta know that there are some chairs being chewed by ASHI butts right now. Linking them to this statement by Mallory puts an entirely different light on their well financed and publicized legislative agenda and branding program.

Reading this article along with Mallory's deposition should sends some shivers down a few spines.

This is perhaps the most interesting thought on these threads. RICO is what brought down Gotti and many others. Althought the other associations are not criminal organizations, which the act was devised for, their actions on the surface, and by her deposition are pure criminal conspiracy.

Ain't life grand!!

If you want to link her, directly, to Florida legislation....go here. This article and her sworn testimony should be enough to bar NAHI from any negotiations concerning the development and application of your law.

Thanks, I already had that, and it's going to go with the deposition (when you send it to me) to the DBPR.

A bad association and bad legislation. Whooda thunk?

That article is interesting too, where Kelly says that many inspectors give a one page report. I'm not sure what world he lives in, but those days are long gone.

Their legislative model puts certain existing home inspectors out of business. Mallory's sworn testimony refers to conversations that she has had with leaders of "other associations" that would put certain existing home inspectors out of business.

I think that a reasonable person could conclude that the two could be related.

True. If the intention was to put certain inspectors out of business it would make sense that they would want to support legislation that would make that happen (effectively). However, supporting such legislation in and of itself may not necessarily be construed as some sort of illegal effort to put certain inspectors out of business.

It is a pretty grey area. If one can establish enough other means used to put them out of business, one might be able to include that legislative effort as part of that effort.

I am not familiar with the specific legislation. If it meant that they needed to obtain more training to stay licensed, it might be tough to conclude that. If it had some element that made it virtually impossible to stay in business, you might have more ammunition.

I just noticed that NAHI had over 2400 members in 2006 and now has less than 1800. A 25% drop in under a year is serious bleeding. Think their members are trying to tell them something? Think they are listening?

I think NACHI Florida is on it.

There are names to be named, regarding her co-conspirators. Will you be going after them, as well, should they come to light?

I'm betting that's about the time she flips on the NAHI BOD.
