Are these available to the general public or exclusively to home inspectors?

Nick,
Want to "Spread the Word"?

How about sending 1/2 dozen to each chapter so that they can pass them out as "Door Prizes"?

HI Scott,

Within reason, I will exchange them... Don't buy a 10,000 kits today. If you are serious about promoting this product, I suggest buying 10 kits for stock and see how you go through them. Then adjust your next order to last 3 months or so. The kits have a 18 month shelf life, so they really should last long enough for you to use them.

HI Scott,

The kits are available to the general public. Unfortunately drugs are a problem that everyone. Parents and there kids for example. We will market the kits to parents for that use. We expect the lenders will require this test before lending on a property, and it will need to be done by a professional home inspector. We are working on this to protect your market. I hope that answers your question....

I have done some research, and I think I have found the solution to your needs. It will take a few days, however I have a few places that will do a lab confirmation of the test kits. They need to evaluate the collection tube and buffer solution to give us a price. This will take a few days to work out the details...

I am working on a project that will allow home inspectors to take an online course to educate them on doing surface drug testing in homes and commercial properties. This will take some time, but the resource will be available soon.

Also, some great news from the state lab in CA (Dept of Justice) has evaluated the test and they could not get the test kit to fire off a false positive, try as they may... We expect a formal letter in a few weeks. This opens the doors for the kits in the entire state of CA.

This is good news, and is more important, in my opinion, than almost anything else regardng this subject. Knowing HOW to sample is secondary to knowing WHERE to sample, and WHY that spot was chosen over another.

Also the effects that these drugs can have on the unexpecting buyer would be helpful.

Meth has the most detrimental effects by far. Inspectors won't be able to sell tests for marijuana in my town (Nederland, Colorado) as it is essentially a perfectly legal recreational drug here.

Do you have a service agreement releasing liability? What happens if we test and find nothing, then there are some health problems down the road and traces of meth are found in the home???

Any thoughts...

Like anything else, mold, radon, asbestos, etc, anyone can sue anyone anytime for anything, all depends on what you know and how you conduct your business I would think.
