Oh that is funny..... Hope all is well...I been sending a lot of customers your way in case nobody mentioned (new construction)....I'm not allowed on many builders property anymore.....they said I'm too picky and have killed some of their deals just because they install an 1/8 of an inch of stucco or forget to flash windows with Hardy Siding............ I figured you could kill a few deals until they want $1,000,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 in excess liability from you also.......... Their doing everything possible to keep me away................. I love this business........... Dale Duffy Inspect Arizona Companies, Inc. Phoenix Home Inspectors, Inc. Scottsdale Home Inspectors, Inc. To be honest I still do about 1-2 a week at $575.00 min. for a 1200 sq, home. condos 379.00. A typical 3500 sq. ft home with 2 A/C's goes for $779.00 and I get it... Last edited by tallen; 10/17/07 at 5:00 AM.. |

Since the licensing of HI's was adopted in Massachusetts several years ago, Consumers here could care less what organization I belong to.

But like I said, State licensing overrides a consumers decision of who they decide to hire for their home inspection. Organization participation in Massachusetts has nothing to do with how I get chosen to perform home inspections. I haven't been asked if I was a member of a specific organization, in years. |

Guess it's not ready, rescheduled for sometime beginning of Nov. 1/8" stucco. The frustating part on this is the ROC will only address it if lath is exposed. I heard there is, or was a law suit about this, from what I heard the builder used the defence of 2 yr liability, from what I understand it did'nt stand.. 2 yr warranty and 30 yr mortage seemed to conflict. I'm tying to find out more on this, should be an interesting read. Quote:
This is or was addressed on Eckley's web site. Yep love this job. Now the fun is challanging builders excuses for missing insulation in walls, seems they figured if they tell customer if I am wrong the customer had to pay for drywall repairs would make it go away. One of them opened the wall on side of stud where there was insualtion. No problem I solved that by offering to pay for dry wall and painting if the insuation was there, so far 3 customers accepted that, guess what, the insulation was missing, Last one told the customer that the insulation was there, just not touching the wall thats why the wall was 30 degrees hotter, think they need to come up with a better excuse, 4" wall 3 1/2" insulation |
