When the wood shrink's and the plate line settles the vertical joint will have issue' Movement and cracking. This is a ASTM spec that sucks. It is wrong.

The horizontal controll joint is no where near the plate line where the movement will be. Other than the 144 sq. spec it serves no real purpose.

And I even put IMO !

Let alone all the wording alot of black and white with this document and not much GREY matter!

IMO-------

You should ask Nick to do a show about Stucco....many folks don't understand what is going on in the real world---the crap we see everyday as inspectors is sometimes incredible---

Maybe incredible is even stating it mildly----

But in all seriousness----a show about BAD-STUCCO is surely needed...!!!

It's wild out there Carl-------You should see what I see here, all I can say is we are lucky it only rains 5-6 times a year--------

It is not just a stucco problem!

Window's,flashing's,and moisture barrier's on all cladding's!
