My judgement is that the home is not properly insulated and has a deficient vapor barrier which is allowing conditioned air too vaporise on the back side of the stone work. I could not tell from the pictures what type if any roof ventilation is installed. If there is no attic ventilation a simple fix could be too install soffit vents which would allow conditioned air to rise through the space between the frame wall and the stone and be dispersed to the exterior before vaporizing Mark S. I vent for every 300-400 sq." of attic.
This is a very good vent. A roofer can install it with little problems. I do not like low profile venting myself. Ineffective and covers with snow easily. .Attachment 42290 montrealbuildinginspectionservice.com montreal-home-inspection-services.com home-inspections-montreal.com homeinspectionsservicesmontreal.com ROBERT YOUNG'S MONTREAL HOME INSPECTION SERVICE INC. The vents I bought at Lowe's say 1 for every 150 sq ft of attic space. My home is 1000sq ft. I currently have 4 of them on the roof.

Did they install weep holes in the stone? Looks to me like that is the problem. Or the lack of weep hole is.
