Default elastomeric paint over stucco bubbling

What can you guys tell me about paint bubbling on stucco that has calcium chloride in the stucco mix?

I can tell you that the stucco was probably installed in the winter. Might have been painted during similar temperatures, which may be the root cause of the bonding issue.

Thanks Mark.

The stucco was done for sure when it was to cold. The painter did not paint it when it was freezeing.

My understanding of CC is that it eats metal and I am curios if it could be the issue with the paint.

Carl, was it painted within the first 90 days of it's installation/

Was it patched and not primed?

Moisture will tend to make paint bubble and blister.

Just throwing possibilities at you.

Marcel,

The painter said he let it sit for 45 days.

The subs tend to be at the builders the mercy. Kinda do it now or I will have someone else do my work.

I have seen stucco painted the day after it was finished because the homes parade was that weekend!

Ahh, don't we all love that OSB without a rainscreen.

Dale, aren't you being a little to invasive on your inspections? ha. ha.

Carl, at least the calcium chloride did not rust the wire lath, but sure did a number on the sheathing. ha. ha.

Carl, I didn't think they raised chickens in Arizona!! So where do they get their chicken wire?

Chicken wire

I thought it was this.

Is this another one of your Hood tricks? ha. ha.

I think Dale missed the Chicken, and stumbled over the real thing.
Man you guys are good. ha. ha.
