HEY GUYS---WHAT IS THE RULE ABOUT HAVING THE GAS METER IN THE BASEMENT---THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN THE MID TO LATE 30'S. THE SHUT OFF VALVE IS IN THE BASEMENT ALSO.

like that here all over. |

See if there's a vent leading from the pressure guage to the outside. Any excess would head out through this vent.

Exactly, it need to be vented to the exterior.
