Leaking ????
Do you think there might be a leak at this location?? Siding was very soft!!

Buck....How far is the siding supposed to be separated from the shingles?

The siding looks weather / water damaged.
Usually need 1-2 inch clearance from roofing shingles to prevent wicking. No kick-out flashing at the gutter, either. How were the rest of the siding edges? Was this lap and gap (wood) or the wafer board junk?
