I see the precast concrete base installed on decks occasionally. I know that this is a non-standard material for installation on decks. Any comments or suggestions?
They are pre cast piers, usually used for platform support.
For a deck they still need to be placed at the proper frost depth, with the correct bearing, and applicable codes still need to be addressed for the deck’s foundation.
