Shingles installed OK?

These architectural type shingles are installed in a manner where the joints create an almost vertical seam. As we all know, they should overlap 1-2-3,these only go one suggestions on write-up?

Note that the Installation "appears" to be deficient and defer to a qualified Roofer for further assessment.

Were stains seen on ceilings - or were all ceilings freshly painted?

There are enough other obvious visual issues with that roof that deferring to a roofer is needed despite trying to determine if the shingle layout is right or not.

I'd let the roofer call it while lhe is looking at the other issues.
