What are the requirements for metal chimney support (guy wires, bracing, etc.) Is this manufacturer specific, or are there code requirements?

The short answer is both, follow manufacturer's install instruction, and allways follow your local building codes and quite possibly fire code.No other guides supersede the BUILDING CODE.
