I am referring to earth / ground contact and Earth / concrete contact vs having posts for porches and decks on a footing with a metal bracket mount.

How long for post base rot if in contact with concrete vs earth for instance.

Bonus question:
Do you call out posts for small decks placed in those precast concrete footers?

Do actual stats exist ?

I have no stat's for that.

If the deck is built immediately on the blocks (no significant rise above the blocks), and there is spacing no greater than 3ft between blocks, and all else appears to be proper, no.

Doubtful.

We have an actual construction standard for decay protection. Protection against decay and termites.

To answer your question of how long it will take to rot. That would be a question the same as, when will we die.

When I see mushrooms growing on the post, haha, I call it out.
