Default attic ladder install
Are all of the nail holes supposed to be utilized with 16d nails? I see this quite often where not all are used. This is a brand new home.

I see three rivets and a roofing nail. Compare the head of the roofing nail with the head of the 16d vinyl-coated checkerhead sinker visible in the upper right hand corner. I'd call that one for fastener replacement by a qualified contractor.
