Default Cabinet question???

Anyone know what the clearance from the counter top to the bottom of the cabinets should be?

19" is usually a normal clearance.

Uppers are typically installed with their top at 7' or 84". 84" minus 36" (countertop height) minus 30" (typical upper height) leaves 18" between the counter and the bottom of the upper cabinet. There are exceptions.

Why do you ask?

30" High wall cabinets are to be set at 84" to the top
36" High wall cabinets are to be set at 90" to the top
42" High wall cabinets are to be set at 96" to the top

34 1/2 Bases 1 1/2 countertop Varies 18" Back splash + 30" wall cabinets = 84" to the top.

These are the Typical industry standards and there are variations. Typically the cabinets over the Range and Refer are adjusted to allow for the appliance that fit underneath..
