Default dry wall

Horizontal cracks at seams of dry wall almost in every room in house. House has been vacant for a while. There are also some roof issues that need to be repaired.any comments appreciated.

John, I would love to see pictures as well. My first thought, if there are horizontal cracks in almost EVERY room, you are dealing with a horrible drywall finish. Are there signs of a unprofessional finish anywhere?

In my former career as a dry waller, I found these to be somewhat a pain to repair. Usually involves removing the bad mud/tape and starting over.

I was thinking something similar, like improperly installed mesh tape or frozen Spackle.
