I know that fire doors cannot open into a bedroom from the garage but can they open into the master bathroom which is connected to the master bedroom.

What does it matter? Who in their right mind would plan a house that way?
Or did you actually see such a thing built? The strict text of the code might appear to permit it, but the local code officer may have a different opinion, and code officials have great latitude in "gray areas". |

Yes this complex was built this way. I dont think its permitted. Not just because its off the garage but the gas fired appliances in the garage are not permitted within a bedroom, bathroom or area accessible by same.
