fire extinguishers

Considering putting in verbage for fire extinguishers as an addition to the smoke alarm wording. I am sure some of you probably already mention it verbally and/or in your reports. What do you say? How many would you recommend and where would the best locations be? I guess the manufacturers website might give some direction or would this be found with NFPA?
