Hi
With the more modern fireplaces with gas pilot lites and logs made of rocks , is the pilot lite suppose to stay on 24/7 ? I was told yes but i disagree the glass doors will always be hot to touch and little ones dont know this , your thoughts ? Thanks Tony |

There are some models that have a pilot, you can simply turn the gas off, if you want if off. There should be a valve. I recommend it to my clients in the summertime. No reason to burn gas to heat your home then.
