Default Fireplace facing
What are the requirements for the materials of the facing of a wood burning and gas fireplace.

One home I recently did just had drywall up to the firebox/glass doors

David,

Most gas fireplaces are low clearance fireplaces and the drywall outside the firebox is not an issue.

Wood fireplaces are a whole different situation...

Dave, I was hoping you had the MR Fix It and would share with me.

I'm close to biting the bullet and buying those to merge with my software (over 1100 drawings). I keep holding out for a deal though. Maybe I'll splurge for an end of year tax deduction
