Default Handrail?

Would anyone call out the need for a handrail of the left side of these. since there is a post in the middle of the handrail on the right side.

Thanks!

The handrail does not conform to current standards with regard to continuity, but was likely acceptable at the time of construction. At most, it would be a "recommended safety upgrade" in my book.

Nope............ its obvious........the only issue goes back to code which was related to firemen getting their hoses tangled on posts etc.

We all can be nit picky about "safety issue"........... I look at it from common sense
more than code.

Beside......adding another hand rail is something else they have to deal with in getting furniture up the steps.
