Default poked holes in attic insulation

I see this often and I suspect small critters. In an attic with blown fiberglas insul there may be dozens (hundreds) of shallow holes going into the matrial. Like a broom handle had been pushed in. No feces or any other evidence. Could these holes be caused by small nesting critters???poked-holes-attic-insulation-101_0024.jpg

In my area (NH) these are caused by mice. there will probably be feces at some point to confirm. When I see these holes I report rodents and let the pros figure out how to remove and clean up the mess

Yep. Mice it is. Move some insulation until you see the back of the ceiling drywall and you will find the feces.
