Builder questioned why this would be a write up.
All nails entered through the joists into the stairwell frame. Also no fasteners through the critical hardware holes. It probably does not conform to the manufacturer's installation instructions, plus the protruding nails pose a safety hazard. Of course the builder will say of the second objection "I'll get my hammer and take care of that with one whack each."

This has to be a new house in the Dallas area!!!
In my former life I was called in the fix these type of problems. Was quite busy!! |
