Default Tell tale indicator?

2007 built, high end home.
In floor heat on lower level and tiled areas.

Almost every room had one of these plugged into an outlet in the room on all levels. Must have been 12-15 of them.

I'm used to seeing these when someone is covering a funky smell in a POS but never in a large newer home.

Any thoughts?

I hope they didn't mix scents... Those can give me a headache.

I report what I see and recommend asking the homeowner/seller about it.

Buyer attended the inspection and that is exactly what I told them.

I would have checked the moisture content in the carpets. I've even go as far as performing an up-close carpet sniff test.

Thanks David but I don't think I will pass that link along.

Marko is a little full of himself.

Marko has a lot of videos. Some he has posted he had to remove due to death threats. I still like to watch them.

He must have 25-50 videos on his site. The one on sewer flies is good.

He is from my area and I run in to him from time to time. He is a good guy!!

I unplug them on my first pass through the house. After I do the exterior and roof, I pay close attention to my nose when I reenter the home the second time.
