Default Todays findings on basement wall

Today's findings. Moisture intrusion in foundation wall the first pic. There was no signs of active moisture. Any comments on this. The second is the vent pipe from a oil furnace needing

Earl-

The first picture, in and of itself, is active moisture. It may be slight but it's enough to cause the "fungal growth".

The second picture tells me that they either didn't or don't have a raincap on the chimney (or else it's another kind of structural moisture intrusion).
