Default Under cabinet lighting temperature?

Any one have articles on under cabinet lighting types and requirements. I have a situation were the lights are high intesity type that are hot to the touch. After a few minutes on I turn off and measured 135 - 155 degrees f on the under side of the wood surface surrounding the light fixture. I wrote up a fire hazard.

Who manufactures them and what does the manufacturer have to say about this type of installation? Are they designed for this use?

All kinds of inexpensive LED lights (puck and bar types) made specifically for under cabinet use. Battery powered, last about 10,000 hrs on a set of batteries. Available everywhere, even for those who are not boycotting Walmart.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing is worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
