Default 1924 outlet

I am already calling for eval. by a licensed electrition for other reasons. I was wondering if anyone would admit how old they are by explaining this outlet in a bedroom. There are copper contacts in all 4 slots.

I went to the websites, interesting, I was imagining a plug with all 4 blades. I've never actually seen a tandem plug (born '61) but I now rememer seeing some pics of them before. Thanks for the education and entertainment.
