Default 2011 nfpa 73

The new 2011 NFPA 73 has been revised to the "Standard for Electrical Inspections for Existing Dwellings" to facilitate its use within the home inspection community.

1.1.1 This code provides criteria that enable the identification of the hazardous conditions that are evident during a visual inspection of the electrical systems in existing one-family, and two-family, and multifamily dwellings, including mobile homes and manufactured homes. 1.1.2 This code does not define installation requirements that might be desired for convenience or utilitarian purposes.

Will you take this into account and purchase/read the document? What are your thoughts on this?

Looks like a good overview and information, especially the adopted GFCI regulations. The definitions are very helpful when trying to apply sections of NFPA 70, aka the NEC. I'm not crazy about the format however. IMO this isn't very user friendly if you were trying to use it for an inspection.

I find the Illustrated Guide to the NEC to be a good reference to have handy.
