Default AFCI two wires

Do AFCI's have both a hot and neutral wire going to breaker? I saw this today and thought they forgot to add black tape to white wire to mark it as a hot feed. But after looking at the AFCI breaker I'm not sure if it's wrong or not. I'll check back later, thanks guys

The brewery is a nice place to visit, hope you enjoyed (free beer). It's rained almost every day this month...add a lot of hail...high winds...and a few tornadoes. looking forward to May.

Be sure and come back to see the Cardinals play.
