I open all panels that meet the requirments. I wear double 00 gloves and leather protectors, I also wear top quality saftey glasses and good shoes for this endever.

If YOU have never experienced an arc flash than you might not take these precautions, but trust me when I say you most certainly should.

JMO

and you should heed my advice.

I remember a time about 13 years ago when I droped a screwdriver across a 480 Delta high leg and crossed fazed, if I would not have been wearing my shield I most likely would be blind.

I know you might never see this kind of voltage in your entire HI life, but the point is still the same.

Please put your safety glasses on and wear some damn gloves.

This message brought to you by the 2006 safety dude.

"Over wattage of the bulb". Humidistats and high-end installs.

All very nice, but nothing to do with home inspections, really. Marc, you need to understand WHAT we do. Really.

The information is nice, so dont get me wrong. But, to truly help the HI, you need to understand that there is a difference between what you do, and what we do.

Start there.

Take from it what you can, and disregard the rest. A little extra information doesn't hurt. I get take great pleasure (and pride) in posting about electrical related matters.

OMG...

Guys, you really have way too much time on your hands. I just got this e-mailed to me. Even poor MArc isnt exempt from the dreaded elf-isms.

Whoever is doing this needs to get a life!

Really cheap shot. Funny, but still a cheap shot.
