Default Canadian electrical questions

Where do I find information about Canadian electrical codes/standards? Free, on-line preferrably.

Is it true that in Canada it is not allowed to have any electrical service lines above any roofs? In USA, you can have an electrical service line over a roof, but with a clearance requirement.

Hi Ben
This is the book you need if you are concerned with Ontario
http://www.chapters.indigo.ca/books/...implified%2527

As far as your question goes "The line may cross over the roof overhang only". They are allowed to cross over carports, sundecks, etc with proper clearance.
