Default CSST Class Action

http://www.pddocs.com/csst/ specifies details for csst retro. GasTite http://gastite.com/include/languages.../TB2006_04.pdf
indicates metal flues are to be bonded as close as possible to main panel.

I cannot see the logic of directing a lighting strike to the panel. Comments?

John,

It appears, IMO, that the document was written expecting that a home is equipped with a proper GE and GEC at the main panel, and as a result they are trying to prevent potential differences from occurring. Running seperate GE can cause differences in potential between the two.

From: http://gastite.com/include/languages.../TB2006_04.pdf

If the systems are not properly bonded, the difference in potential between the systems may cause the charge to arc to another system.
