I often wonder if anyone actually took these to a lab and tested them. Are we sure these aren't the same Chinese breakers SqD sells and just went out the back door of the same red army factory?

That was a good while back when that happened. Scott Electric, the effected distributor, is one of my vendors. At the time these counterfeit breakers were in their supply chain, their monthly flyer had a smoking deal on Square D breakers. Needless to say, I stocked up. I kept a box of the counterfeit 120's for my collection when all was said and done. The visual differences are very subtle and minor. I have no idea what might be different inside.
