Arrow Electrical Braids...

Question...is there a "rule" on the maximum exposed braid in an electrical panel at the breakers?

One more question, I read once before that there could be no "nicks" of the braid at the breaker...is that correct?

All "NICKS" are bad.

Seriously, the wires should have no nicks in them. It's up to you to decide the degree of the problem.

Some Sparkies strip wire by rotating the knife blade around the conductor causing nicks in the wire.
This is a bad habbit.

Electricity flows on the outside of wires. Nicks will cause the conductor to heat up. Not a good thing.
