Is this the panel that is so notorious for failure? I once heard that those built and sold in Canada were better then the U.S. models.
How about this 40 amp breaker, I didn't know they made a 40 amp single breaker. Comments please ![]() ![]()

Yes. The Stab-loc in your pictures is the one with inherent problems.
They are still manufactured and sold in Canada, but I can't attest to their purported integrity. The 40 amp breaker is not an original, but an after-market breaker. I can't say I've ever seen a single 40. . .
