Default GFCI circuit breaker

Does anyone know why a jumper wire is connection the two poles on this GFCI circuit breaker?

That was part of the Cutler-Hammer GFI breaker design. New versions are now the same size as a single pole breaker and do not have that part on the exterior.

He just couldn't see the needed info due to about a 3 hour delay so it could be moderated.

Gerry, we have not seen info from Marc D. Shunk or Speedy Petey since the moderation membership drive began.
