GFCI requirement years

I was hoping someone would know what general year the GFCI requirements for both kitchen and bathroom were introduced - not necessarily the most current code requirements, but when GFCIs started being required in 1) kitchens, 2) bathrooms, 3) exterior and 4) garages - if they are different years.
