Default Heat Pump

If the outside unit calls for a 30amp breaker and the panel has a double pole 60 amp breaker ; this should be called out right. The outside unit has a cooling fan that is seized up also. The reason that I'm asking is that a code certified inspector had inspected the home 2 weeks prior and there was nothing about the breaker in his report. ( client had a copy)

Was there an OCPD in the disconnect? If not, then the 60 amp breaker is too large - assuming you are referring to the maximum breaker size.

Yes there was, that explains why the other inspector did not call it out. Thanks for your help.

What size conductors are connected to the 60 amp breaker?
