Question job cost

i was wondering what the average price is to sub-contract a residential house rough in by the square foot? i would like to get an idea about the cost with just the labour and no matterial, and the cost of everything together, eg. $1.00 per sqf w out material, $2.75 w matterial bought.

i live in the GTA of Ontario Canada, avg. price of 14/2= $140per 150m

I do NOT price by the sq/ft, but I do figure it after for a baseline. The last few I have done were in the $5-$6 (US) range out the door. This is well equipped, with several recessed lights, good bath fans, dimmers everywhere, etc.

I DO NOT work with folks who want to supply their own material. This is only asking for trouble for the contractor. If I were to do this I would have a solid contract stipulating that I can charge for ANY time lost due to miscommunication, forgotten material, etc.
It is a BAD (and ill conceived) way for a GC or homeowner to save a little money. All this does is take the SMALL profit margin on material away from the contractor.
Also, I have found these folks are looking to cheap out where ever it suits them and splurge on other things. Meaning, they will try to hammer me on my price, yet they will put a 42" plasma in every room.
Of course this is not the case every time, but I have seen it more often than not.
