Default new house wiring

Found solid strand AL on a 30amp and 40amp circuit today in a new house.

Anyone else have this in their area?

Solid #8 and #6? Not 7 strand?
Got a manufacturer? I would like to look this up.

It might just be "compact conductor" that is stranded but compressed so there is no air between the strands.
The real issue has always been the terminations anyway so I wouldn't be concerned. These are barrel and set screw terminals not a binding screw where the wire wraps around a screw. That was the one with the problem.
