Open knife switch

I snapped this pic with my cell phone, while crammed up in a crawl space. It depicts a jumper on the top of two open knife switches fashioned from 18-2 braided jacket thermostat wire. These fused switches served two furnace circulators in this crawl space. That card stapled up on the right was the original installer's information, with a 1953 penciled in date.
