I found this in the Main Service Panel today. #8 stranded copper installed in 20 amp breakers. I know undersized wire is wrong , but I can't find anything that talks about oversized conductors. I would appreciate any input / education on this subject from you Sparkys out there. Thanks , Rick

Richard, so long as the wire size is UL listed for the breaker there is no problem, code is " a minimum std" only. I would much prefer a conductor be oversized, than a breaker be undersized. The weakestlink is still the breaker, not the conductor.
