Ran across this today. Someone wired in an alarm for the sump pump,
( after final inspection I believe ) and used the white for the feed. Bottom left breaker. It's kinda odd, it enters box from below, exits out side to alarm light. Please Note:
Greg Fretwell is a non-member guest and is in no way affiliated with InterNACHI or its members.
If this is a basically switch loop you do use the white for the hot "input", although it should be reidentified.
The thought is down stream of the switch the black "output" will be the hot. |
