Hi. Needed a quick answer, if anyone has one!
Can Cutler Hammer breakers usually be crossed over and installed in Square D panel? As best as I could read the CH label - Type C L 720, T060429, CU/AL SWD Thanks, |

This all gets down to how you regard "classified breakers". U/L and C/H say they are OK. SqD doesn't

of course square d isn't going to say its ok. That would be like coca-cola saying "you can buy our bottles but you can refill them with pepsi if you want to" Go with the UL recommendation...unbiased.

Doesn't the NEC always refer to the manufacturer's instructions, i.e. panel label?

Blaine
That is why Eaton C/H will give you a sticker to put in the panel stating the U/L classification of their replacement breaker. It is clear that SqD will not evaluate a C/H breaker in their panel so you have the U/L blessing from their evaluation. |
