Default Stray Voltage

An interesting article here
http://www.bassengineering.com/SV_Utility_.htm

Is it accurate? Does anyone know the answer to the question posed in the last paragraph?

Hi to all,

Interesting article, thanks.

As to the last paragraph that would be $100 times 2.1 million farms, or $2 billion

Data from here: http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0883511.html

Regards

Gerry

Default Re: Stray Voltage

The PoCo bonds the neutral every chance they get. If the farmer really wants to control voltage gradients they need to create equipotential bonding grids and be sure they are using the same "ground" as the PoCo.
In real life the farmerr creates the stray current more than the PoCo. Most of it is between the remote EGC at his maypole and the local ground.
