Did an inspection today in which the whirlpool tub motor bonding screw was empty (not bonded) GFCI and grounding were ok but no bond. Big deal or not? thanks.

Scott...do a search for this topic to see what pops up. This has been kicked around several times in the past few months. I changed my inspection protocol to not call this out if all of the plumbing is PVC.

Where did you want them to bond it to? Was there a heat pack associated with this tub? Was this tub served by metallic water or drain lines? If the answers to all of them are 'no', then you may well have observed a correct installation.
